In 2016, BLACKPINK released Playing With Fire, which made it to Canada's Hot 100 chart. BLACKPINK was the first South Korean girl band to chart in Canadian Hot 100. This is a major feat for a band that released their debut song.
2018
June
In 2018, BLACKPINK released a series of other songs that charted in June 2018.
Their song 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du' was listed on Billboard's Hot 100 at 55, a feat that no prior K-pop girl band had achieved. Another song, 'Square Up', ended at Billboard's number 40. This made BLACKPINK the first-ever Korean female band to reach 40th on the charting album.
July
Soon after, BLACKPINK released their official music video for the song, 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du', which became the most-viewed Korean music video only 24 hours after its release. The video got over 35 million videos in a few hours in 2018.
Currently, at more than 1.5 billion views, the music video also made BLACKPINK the first K-pop band that snagged the fastest 100 million views on YouTube within ten days only.
This amazing feat broke Psy's record of becoming the most-watched video in 24 hours.

March
In March 2019, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl band to appear on Billboard Magazine's feature cover. All the members of the group had individual covers for the magazine.
BLACKPINK's official YouTube account hit 20 million subscribers, making them the first Korean female band to achieve this feat.

In 2019, BLACKPINK released 'Kill This Love', which snagged over 54 million views within 24 hours of its release and crossed 100M after three days. This feat set a record for YouTube's biggest premiere.
In April 2019, BLACKPINK also performed at US's annual music festival, Coachella.
2020
In 2020, BLACKPINK broke their own record and pulled 86 million views in only 24 hours by releasing their all-time hit, 'How You Like That'.
In June 2020, BLACKPINK members earned a spot in Guinness World Records for the most viewed music video within 24 hours for 'How You Like That'.
2021
In 2021, BLACKPINK became the most-subscribed YouTube music artist, breaking Justin Bieber's record.
