Adele's Groundbreaking New Album: All You Need to Know

Finally! Hello from the other side!

It's been 83— er, 6 years since the queen of reducing grown adults to sobbing heaps released an album in 2015! The 15-time Grammy award winner is set to make her come back this November with an album titled "30."

So, it's time to get our sad girl fall mood on!

While we wait, we've gathered everything we need to know about Adele's new musical era.

When Will "30" Be Released?

Adele shared the buzzing news via Instagram on Wednesday, October 13, with a heartfelt note. Her fourth album, titled "30", is set to release on November 19, 2021! Though the album had been expected for quite some time, this was the first official announcement.

Her single "Easy on Me" was released on October 15 and is already a classic heartbreak anthem with a soaring melody and a broken heart; the song rivaled her masterpieces like "Rolling in The Deep" and "Set Fire to The Rain."

What's the Album About?

During her sit-down with Vogue, Adele admitted that "30" is a medium for her to answer the big questions about her life and breakup to her son. She also went on to say that she held herself accountable while writing it.

During an Instagram live, Adele had declared that the album is about "divorce, babe, divorce." Though, she's also told the Vogue UK that the album is about "self-destruction" but also "self-reflection and "self-redemption."

The Album Track List

The first song that we know for sure is "Easy on Me," which was released last month. During the Vogue UK interview, Adele gave us some insight into the album when she revealed that it was the first song she wrote. She continued that the lyrics came to her in a cappella while she was in the shower. However, she didn't write anything for six months afterward because she thought she had already said it all—Can we just say how glad we are that the Queen of Hearts went on to write this song?

Adele further debuted three more songs from the album titled "Hold On," "Love Is A Game," and "I Drink Wine."

What Will "30" Sound Like?

According to Adele's friend and talk-show host Alan Carr's interview, the album is "so amazing." Alan Carr had admitted to listening to a few tracks from the album and went on to sing praises for the upcoming album.

Adele also claimed that she didn't want the songs to sound like "Hello," and further stated that one of her big influences was Marvin Gaye's "What’s Going On,” and the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s that was playing on mute in the studio while she composed the album.

Adele further hinted that we could also expect some more cheerful numbers from the album.

Any Collaborations on 30?

Adele reeled in singer-songwriter Max Martin, producers Inflo and Ludwig Göransson, and Greg Kurstin, who had previously worked with her on “Hello.” Adele might feature jazz musician Erroll Garner in an interlude and Chris Stapleton on a bonus track.
