WHEELS OF FIRE

Wheels of Fire is the third album by the British rock band Cream. It was released in August 1968 as a two-disc vinyl LP, with one disc recorded in the studio and the other recorded live. It reached number three in the United Kingdom and number one in the United States, becoming the world's first platinum-selling double album. In May 2012, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it number 205 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. -Wikipedia

The live portion of the album is alone worth the purchase price. The psychedelic rock on the studio album is a great bonus.

A little over the top, what with all those fifteen minute jams and all, but still - similar in tone and mood.

With sharp, blues-drenched guitar solos littering the album, it's a must-have for students of acid rock despite its problems.

Wheels Of Fire (the band's bluesiest and arguably most experimental album) provides the most all-encompassing look at what Cream was really like, in all their glory and with all their faults
