  • Loudwire

Hinder are at their best when they showcase their own distinctive sound, and too often on this album the song quality is there, but their identity is obscured.

A solid album from the guys. In this fickle music industry, artistic growth is important in maintaining a long career.

While they're not the only band with a fetish for post-flannel brooding and Sunset Strip posturing, they're certainly among the worst offenders.

  • Metal Misfit

Though a shameless attempt at revitalizing the band’s career, it’s a decent album; just not a memorable one.

My rating on the vocals and songwriting is an 8 out of 10. Unfortunately, on the music, I can only give it a 5 out of 10.

They just need to focus their energy on what they do best, and then get out of their own way.

It’s not groundbreaking or scene shaking in any way but it’s a guilty pleasure of an album, and an easy pleasure at that.

The best thing that a listener can get off this album is the fact that all songs hold special features and elements, adding to their “personality”.

A flaky, enthralling, catchy and energetic album packed with smashes for a hot party summer that crashes in the middle of winter and warms your heart!

Hinder are at their most powerful when they stick to their roots of badass, whisky-drinking rock and roll, reminiscent of 1980s heavy metal.

The most forward-thinking, least bad thing Hinder has ever done. Hinder gets an E for effort, and T for nice try.

Lots of good guitars, great rhythms, beautiful melodies with a sound of reinforced concrete.

Powerful on the heavy songs, sweet and emotional on the slow ones. My advice? Do not trust anything you read on this review, listen to the album, enjoy, and then judge for yourself.

It’s hardly a downer, offering up 11 tracks that run the gamut from crass, high-energy “underbite rock” anthems.

Daring to be different but this time they may have gone too far. Far better to stick to what you’re good at.

I would have liked to see Hinder expand and explore new territories on this fourth album instead of making the same album as the previous three.
