2018 - Tonight Alive’s ‘Underworld’ is not perfect but goddamn is it a real far cry from the utter shite that was and still is ‘Limitless’.

2018 - Underworld, therefore, is a personal storytelling for McDougall and her bandmates, a collection that lays it all on the line and does so with a bloody sincerity that will see you dancing through the darkness to embrace the light.

2018 - Overall, Underworld feels like a band who are well aware that they’ve mismanaged themselves and are scrambling to put together something that might put them back on track, but just feels like an exercise in treading water.

2018 - Tonight Alive has let us know that it’s okay to struggle and have those doubts about ourselves and what we feel. In those times when we can’t see past the problem right in front of us, Underworld is a reminder that it can and will get better if we just try to find the light.

2018 - Yet, by blending an experimental and wider range of sounds, they do achieve a three-dimensional and expansive album, and, for that, they have to be given some credit.

2018 - Underworld is a brilliant conglomerate of sing-songy melodies, heavy guitar riffs, and eclectic drum patterns that make each song so distinct from one another, such aspects that are so elemental to Tonight Alive’s classic concrete sound.
