Rock & Blues Music
Time Clocks by Joe Bonamassa is about the songs, high quality tracks to satisfy almost every musical palette. The record, in some ways, also beckons to be a movie score, each track simulating segments of an overall story. Some open a window to the man behind the suit.

Blues Rock Review
At this stage, Joe Bonamassa has very little left to prove but with Time Clocks, Bonamassa delivers his best album since The Ballad of John Henry. Bonamassa really digs deep lyrically on this album and it feels more personal. Of course, there is great guitar, but Joe’s songwriting has never been better. From start to finish, Time Clocks is a winner and shows why Bonamasa’s run as the current blues rock king is nowhere near over.

American Songwriter
There is more than enough proof in this sprawling set that Joe Bonamassa doesn’t intend to rest on his laurels or take his star status in the blues-rock genre for granted.
-
Louder
Joe Bonamassa ponders the passing of time but doesn’t let getting older slow him down for a second.
-
Metal Planet Music
Time Clocks’ is a testament to the power of the blues and how one man striving for perfection can both enthral and inspire a generation. A truly stunning achievement.
-
Stereoboard
Exploring notions of Father Time and mortality, Bonamassa’s superb storytelling recalls complex relationships with others, himself and the industry he’s taken by storm as he reflects on his years traversing the globe. If any up and coming fretboard wizards want to make their stint on planet Earth as memorable and influential as Bonamassa’s, ‘Time Clocks’ proves that great guitar playing means absolutely nothing until it’s utilised to enrich and enhance first rate songwriting.

GSGM
Joe Bonamassa never disappoints, and his latest album, ‘Time Clocks,’ is no exception, earning it a five-star rating from us! The blues-rock master knocks it out of the park once more, and his admirers who are hearing this album for the first time will think it’s Christmas morning.
-
Get Ready to Rock
‘Time Clocks’ may not quite be the stellar album fans hoped for, but at least half the songs here will surely fill his set list in future tours. Job done.
-
Raw Ramp
Time Clocks, the new album from blues-rock legend JOE BONAMASSA is an outstanding song anthology that reveals new information about the master’s life as a rock ‘n’ blues labourer — giving us a better understanding of his bib ‘n’ braces approach to toil and servitude (to his music) and (perhaps) more of an acute angle on his enduring emotions, his incessant conceptualisation, his constant interpreting.
-
Sonic Perspectives
Pandemic be damned, some really good records have risen from the ashes of live music in the age of COVID, and Joe’s latest is certainly one of the strongest of his career. And that just leaves this listener feeling happy to have these blues.

Tinnitist
The blues-rock guitarslinger returns with another set of muscular, adventurous fare.
-
AllMusic
Much of Time Clocks rambles -- six of its ten songs are over six minutes, with another coming close to that mark -- but the blustering "Questions and Answers" shows that this wandering provides for a more interesting listen than when Bonamassa keeps things on the straight and narrow.
-
Sonic Abuse
As with any artist of such calibre, fans will likely debate over their favourite record without ever reaching a clear conclusion but, for what it’s worth, Time Clocks might just be one of the most consistently thrilling records to which Joe has put his name.

The Midlands Rocks
This is a fine album, everything about it is classy. It’s a grower, not as immediate as some of Bonamassa’s previous albums and, coming fairly hot on the heels of his career best ‘Royal Tea’ album, has a lot to measure up to. Give it time, a few listens at least, and you’ll realise that you have a solid, mid-table Joe Bonamassa album here.

PlanetMosh
Time Clocks ticks all the right boxes for Joe Bonamassa to release this alarming new album.

Liverpool Sound and Vision
An outstanding, monumental piece of work, and with a band consisting of Steve Mackey, Lachy Doley, Bunna Lawrie, Bobby Summerfield, Anton Fig, as well Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins and Prinnie Stevens on backing vocals, Time Clocks is breath-taking, it is enormous, it is the humility of a professional in his absolute pomp and observational prowess; and in the end what is absolutely clear, is that Joe Bonamassa is not afraid of stretching his Blues and Rock legend ever further, and with good reason.

Headbangers Lifestyle
Mind you, there are some very good songs present on ‘Time Clocks’ but also one or two that might not have the same ‘aura’. Fact is though that this album is of such a balanced quality that the general Bonamassa fan will lap this up for sure.
