On The Voice, he doesn’t only shine by hitting us with smooth melodies and ferocious raps, but he also shines by being a real one that doesn’t mind letting his heart bleed in his music.

It's a template that works fine and delivers some great results, but some of the more interesting moments of the album happen when he strays from the somewhat interchangeable instrumentation.

While it’s not a project I’m going to be going back to anytime soon from a musical perspective, Durk’s repetitiveness wearing extremely thin on me after a while, it’s still a very worthwhile listen for anyone who has followed him or King Von in any capacity. Durk’s narratives here hit much closer to the heart than the usual trap fare.
