The Time Is Now feels remarkably lightweight, in the best and the worst of senses. It is a very easy album to like, in that there's very little anger or melancholy or negativity to be found.

David was shrewd to quickly capitalize on the commercial resurgence with The Time Is Now, a set that is less scattered stylistically -- dominated by tropical house and trap stylings -- yet less consistent quality-wise.

So why is it that on his recent album, The Time Is Now, David chooses to blend so thoroughly into the generic landscape of disposable pop music, that he is indistinguishable in any way?
