The Rest of Our Life is the first collaborative album by American country music artists as well as husband and wife, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It was released on November 17, 2017, by Arista Nashville. While the album marks McGraw's fifteenth overall studio album and Hill's seventh, it is the first collaborative album between the couple. • Saving Country Music

It’s background music at best, destined to be seriously forgotten in pretty short order for the legacies both artists have forged on their own.

Their vulnerability makes them seem real and relatable—characteristics that carry over into The Rest of Our Life as well.

  • My Kind of Country

The lack of that magical spark found on “It’s Your Love” or “Let’s Make Love” is truly what sinks The Rest of Our Life. Hill and McGraw are far better than most of the material they pulled together for this album.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are lucky in love in The Rest of Our Life, but the album did not meet expectations.

Maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise, but Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s first album together, “The Rest of Our Life” . . . is a remarkably balanced affair.

Again, it's got too many weird choices to be smooth background music and yet is way too polished and tepid to really earn them. I'd say if you're morbidly curious have a listen, but otherwise... no, there's better things to do.

After 20 years of marriage, they still seem smitten with each other, and that palpable affection is not only endearing, it sustains the album.

I applaud them for what they have produced – a powerful, emotional album that is true to the roots of both singers.

"The Rest of Our Life" will be an easy choice for a wedding song for many fans of McGraw and Hill. It's made for the first dance and is a blessing for a long, lasting marriage. The high point is a chorus at which he nearly does a Prince impression.

Overall, “The Rest Of Our Life” is probably good . . . but not for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
