The Lost Mile

The Lost Mile is the seventh studio album by Vertical Horizon. The album was released exclusively on digital platforms on February 23, 2018. It was released by Outfall Records, the independent label headed by frontman Matt Scannell. In an interview with Billboard Magazine, Scannell describes The Lost Mile as "the most indulgent album I've ever made." The album marks somewhat of a departure from the band's established sound, both in terms of its focus on keyboards and in relation to the length of the songs - of which only one runs for less than four minutes.-Wikipedia

  • Melodic Net

Their 7th studio album "The Lost Mile" is the first since "Echoes From The Underground" (2013) and it ain´t no exception, we´re still given a first class modern rock album but this time around also a bit more electronic.

  • Something Else!

March 8, 2019. In the past, there was always an edge, melancholy or bitterness to Matt Scannell’s music, like he didn’t want to fully surrender to his feelings. On The Lost Mile, however, he does just that, which might lead to mixed reviews. Those who are looking for the mainstream pop-rock of VH’s past will be disappointed.

"The Lost Mile" is releasing digitally only, and it's a start of trying out new musical elements. And it's also an album to overcome the past.
