Show All-
Pitchfork
Still buoyant, lazy, mischievous, and sadly misogynistic-- unexpectedly crafts the best of this week's high-profile hip-hop releases.

Sputnik Music
Snoop Doggy, DAWWWWG. Snoopy is back and he's come real this time
-
Byron Crawford
It's got a solid core of pretty good songs.
-
IGN
But it's a hazy shade of smoke filled nuance that slips effortlessly into a little slanky drawl styled vocal eclipse from Snoop. Doggfather's strongest release in a long time
-
The Guardian
Signals a return to his gangsta roots and the street sound of his breakthrough album, Doggystyle.

There's no reason any West Coast-loving hip-hopper should miss this party.

With heaping helpings of G-funk and Left Coast attitude,

Pop Matters
The Dogg needs an editor -- there's enough decent material here for a pretty-damn-good album, filled out by enough trash to knock it right down to "average".

Rap Reviews
Despite the dissapointing insistance on Crippin' it up every chance he gets, Snoop's still going to successfully eat off this album provided he can stay out of the line of fire

Okay Player
If it wasn’t for the excess filler towards the end of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, it would likely be one of the year’s best hip-hop albums.
-
Hip Hop RnB Soul
But where that offering hipped us to Snoop's pop-py side, his latest venture exposes the gnarley street roots that never went away.
-
Raru
Will continue to solidify this hip hop icon as one of the most influential musical entertainers of today.
-
Inside Pulse
Isn’t a bad album, so much as it’s more compelling evidence of the inertia that’s enveloped Snoop’s once groundbreaking sound. It’s fun at times.

Bring Me the News
While he's put out some great music since (under a variety of names), there's something to be said for his forgotten middle child on its 10th birthday.
