STORYLINE
| Hunter HayesSTORYLINE
Storyline is the second major label studio album released by American country music artist Hunter Hayes, released on May 6, 2014 through Atlantic Records. As with his previous album, every song is co-written and co-produced by Hayes. However, instead of performing all the instrumentals himself as he did on Hunter Hayes, on this release Hayes opted to feature guest musicians, including his touring band and Paul Franklin, the steel guitar player behind Vince Gill's Bakersfield. - WIKIPEDIA
Critic Reviews
Show All-
RollingStone
clean arrangements and twangless vocals.
-
ALL MUSIC
His instrumental prowess provides the tightest ties to country music -- there's twang and muscle in his leads.
-
Los Angeles Times
At times this surprisingly strong album feels like a move away from country toward the kind of vaguely rootsy blue-eyed soul in which John Mayer specializes.
-
Newsday
Hayes takes "Storyline" to a new plateau, but the rising country star's tale is far from over.
-
Lincoln Journal Star
Hayes isn't reinventing anything on "Storyline," which turns out hushed and ballad heavy. But that's exactly what his audience wants and gets.
-
Digital Journal
it is a great CD of relationship storytelling, and his message is inspirational and positive throughout.
-
ROUGHSTOCK
Storyline is the kind of album that should ensure that Hunter Hayes avoids the dreaded ‘sophomore slump.

BRENT MUSIC REVIEWS
an enjoyable listen that highlights Hayes’ strengths more often than not.
-
The Orion
listeners will find a variety of tracks in “Storyline,” from the catchy, poppy numbers featured before the album’s interlude to the more introspective, empowering anthems that follow.
-
ZUMIC
Storyline does have quite a few slow songs, including "Still Fallin'" and "When Did You stop Loving Me," which will appeal to listeners who prefer the more classic country love songs.
-
spectrum pulse
this album is decent but nothing that blew me away either outside of the title track.
-
People
Storyline is an open book about his feelings.
-
The Washington Times
there’s enough to suggest that the multitalented boy wonder still packs plenty of potential.
-
Mibba
Storyline still maintains that essential cohesive sound that keeps it from becoming too all over the place.
