As the King of Trippy, Juicy J’s third solo effort is a celebration of the fruits of his labor complete with kush, codeine, lean, Molly, Xanax and a few other tripadelic items.

” Juicy instructs on “Stop It” – twerkin’ remains a dubious career path (“Scholarship”). But no matter; the party rolls on.

Stay Trippy is the latter. And for as much flack as it receives, there is entertainment value there and it serves its purpose as a soundtrack to the “trippy” lifestyle.

Stay Trippy is a record that knows to stay within the lane that it’s carved for itself. Big-budget stripper rap has rarely sounded so fresh. Stay trippy for life, mane.

He may not be innovating, but that’s not necessary, he’s safe in his habitat, making music his way, and we’re the better for it.

Stay Trippy happily delivers exactly what it promises: a days-long, drug-soaked party that doesn’t seem to end.

“Stay Trippy” will not be a universally beloved album by any means, but it’s very consistent and very fun to listen to.

This is the music you should make bad decisions to, and I’m sure some of you already have—but I ain’t one to gossip, so you ain’t heard that from me.

‘Stay Trippy’ is Juicy J’s introduction to mainstream, his first major label debut and first star-studded album. There’s no other way to describe what’s going on throughout ‘Stay Trippy’ except that it’s a giant party.

If the album doesn’t say much more than “I’m still here”, that’s fine: Stay Trippy is a victory lap.

Is Still Trippy a classic? No, not by any means. That said, Juicy J is true to himself (a lover of weed, lean, women, etc.)

His flow is prophetic, like’s he’s just handing down the unvarnished word of the trippy gods, and on Stay Trippy, Juicy J sounds as energized, self-assured, and dangerous as ever.

Stay Trippy" may not be the album you play for doubters to prove the artistic merits of hip-hop, and its subject matter wears thin after a while, but damn if it doesn't sound good loud.

It’s far from terrible, but Stay Trippy could certainly be a lot better. Juicy J is a good rapper; he just needs to step out of his box a little bit and show people what he can do on his own.

Teens twerk to it; strippers work to it; hustlers vibe with it; and gangsters laugh at it. For all its vulgarity, predictability, repetitiveness and reckless musings on drugs, Juicy J's trippy music succeeds because of its spirit.

There is no beating around the bush once it is all said and done; Stay Trippy is an irresistibly enjoyable club-rap album with a ton of personality that also mixes in some street-leaning and lean-drinking material to match.

The lyrics were more of lacking moral values and the decency. Although the album managed to receive a fair bit of appreciation but did not get it from everybody out there.

You can’t listen to Juicy J unless you are in the mood to party. You aren’t about to sit there studying his lyrics. I’ll give this a 9/10. Now I really, really wanna party.

Stay Trippy is a hazy album of thumping tracks with charged vocals designed for those cashing out and chipping in, anywhere people are taking clothes off while rolling up.

Stay Trippy isn’t quite the twisted haze of Barter 6. It definitely isn’t the raw aggression of Yeezus and it doesn’t even approach the autobiography of If You’re Reading This. Hip-hop’s a big genre that’s moved well beyond the hooks and grinds that Juicy J loves.

The songs are the club bangers and strip club soundtrack you'd probably expect. I've only listened to it 1 time, which isn't enough to write a proper review. So far, pretty good.

Stay Trippy winds up as something of a triumph, one of the year's most thoroughly enjoyable major label albums, while Goodie Mob were trying to please so many different audiences, some of them imaginary, that they ended up making nobody happy.
