  • Your Life In A Song

Stages is an album with potential, and will definitely warm up your CD player/streaming device as we await Spring. Some tracks I’d skip (FYI), some I’d press the repeat button for (If my Heart Had A Heart). Pope sums it up herself when she says she’s all over the place when it comes to music, which is a little of what this album feels like. But there is undeniable talent.

  • Six Shooter Country

six years on from her debut album ‘Frame by Frame’ I think she’s matured both musically, and vocally and this album certainly hits all the right notes. It’s a great start to the year, and some of these tracks will definitely be featured on many summer playlists I’m sure!

I love how things unfold in this, the penultimate track on the album, which grabbed my attention from the start as most of my favourite songs tend to. It tells its story so beautifully, and you can visualise exactly what is happening when Cassadee unexpectedly runs into her old flame on a short visit to her hometown.

  • Celeb Mix

This album is an emotional rollercoaster, taking us on a complete journey in every way. Cassadee Pope has flooded her all into this as she showcases the rise and fall of love and heartbreak, drawing on recent experiences. It’s passionate, emotional, and honest. This is one album we’d happily play on repeat for the rest of the week.

Stages might be Pope’s finest work to date. Let’s just hope she doesn’t keep us waiting another six years for her next release.

I feel that Cassadee Pope delivered a strong album. There is hardly a weak song in it, so that it is really fun to listen to it… Even if you do it again and again.

As a whole, stages is Pope's best collection of work to date. This independent project really allowed Pope to take control and let the world see who she is and how she has gracefully handled this thing called life.

Overall, 'Stages' is a decent country pop album that fans of Cassadee Pope are sure to like. I would have liked if she went back to her old pop punk rock days, but she's still concentrating on her country career instead. Just make sure to listen to the album more than once because you can hear the passion she put into this album compared to her previous work.

  • Nashville Gab

Whether you are a country music fan, a pop fan, or a rock fan, this album has something for you, because, at the end of the day, genres aside, we are all human beings who go through the same ups and downs. Stages will hold your hand as you begin your own process of hurting and healing, and that companionship alone should transcend an industry-based genre categorization.

I feel like we’re hearing Pope in a way we never have before and it suggests that Pope is getting to grips with her artistry and paving a promising future for herself. Emotional, catchy and deeply personal, Stages is a beautiful record.

  • The Digital Fix

Stages is one of those records that carefully straddles the country-pop line, straying over it liberally, but saved from being totally pop by Pope's way with a lyric and the stories she's telling.

I've Been Good is a perfect song for Cassadee to end this album with because it's allowed Cassadee to showcase everything she can do and for that - I will always be thankful for this album.
