The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack is a better soundtrack than Black Panther’s if you look at the themes of the albums as they reflect the story in their respective movies.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a wild mix of chill atmospherics and propulsive beats that captures the state of hip-hop in 2018, which, like the movie, respects its forebears while keeping its sights firmly set on the future.

I'm in a forgiving mood just because this soundtrack did something none I've listened to for a long time tried let alone succeeded in doing -- making a 100% hip-hop soundtrack with no compromises.

The movie is fantastic and I do indeed recommend you watch it before listening to the soundtrack, but the soundtrack may just be too tempting if you don't have roughly two hours to watch it before. Both are totally worth it your time.
