Speak Your Mind

Speak Your Mind is the debut studio album by British singer Anne-Marie. Talking to Polish pop culture magazine Luvpop about the album's title, Anne-Marie said: "I just feel like that's what I did on the album. I'm not a shy person anyway, I speak my mind a lot and I am not... I don't hold anything in, I am honest with people and open. And I've just feel that's what I've been like on this album, so it kinda makes sense." Wikipedia

It would all be so much anodyne chart mulch, but Anne-Marie has something of a plain-speaking everywoman image too. Some tracks here connect a little deeper.

Bonus tracks (particularly Breathing Fire and Some People) are a testament to how great she really can be. Until then, though? Ciao, adios, we’re done.

Not as strikingly original as it thinks it is. It’s also overlong and lacks staying power.
