SIGNALS
| RushSIGNALS
Signals is the ninth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in September 1982 by Anthem Records. After the release of their previous album, Moving Pictures, the band started to prepare material for a follow-up during soundchecks on their 1981 concert tour and during the mixing of their subsequent live album Exit...Stage Left. Signalsdemonstrates the group continuing with the use of synthesizers, sequencers, and other electronic instrumentation. -wikipedia

Classic Rock Review
this album maintains a rock edge tinged in various sub-genres, which make it a unique and interesting listen
-
All Music
Signals proved that Rush were successfully adapting to the musical climate of the early '80s.
-
Rolling Stone
1982 - it’s mostly a wasted effort, and nearly all of Rush’s Signals come across as static

John McFerrin Music Reviews
This is such a good album. It also caps what I consider a pretty impressive achivement for the band
-
Adrian's Album Reviews
It's a strong, pretty consistent album that's highly enjoyable.
-
Mark's Record Reviews
This is a truly impressive, creative and forward-looking synth/guitar pop/rock/prog album that we can all sit back and enjoy!
-
Saint Louis University
There's too much good stuff here.
-
Only Solitaire
There's not just a solid balance between the guitars and the keyboards reached, there's also a balance between the songs' melodic potential and the songs' pretentions.
-
Ultimate Classic Rock
this album signaled another audacious leap in Rush’s trailblazing embrace of technology. But it's all put to good use on great songs like "The Analog Kid," "New World Man" and the utterly colossal "Subdivisions."
-
Don Ignacio
Let me reiterate this is an enormously well-played album, and they give us plenty of interesting textures to listen to.
-
Wilson & Alroy's Reviews
Where the previous albums had two or three great songs, two or three good ones, and two decent ones, this one has six bad ones and two decent ones
-
Odyssey
2017 - Rush still sounds very good on this release and due to their experimentation, "Signals" sounds new, fresh, and unlike any other album in Rush's catalog. I like "Signals" in many ways, but it is Rush's first album since 1975 that isn't a classic
-
Cygnus-X1
More catchy and powerful tunes with an 80's flare
-
Smart Bass Guitar
2014 - Signals is a solid work, but lacking in parts. The hits are hits, and the misses are misses and that’s really all there is to say about the album.
-
Power Windows
You know nothing is more frustrating than when a band you know and love, namely Rush, release a weak, below par album, namely 'Signals'
-
Amino
The band does a great job transitioning into a new sound while still maintaining their prog roots.

Hell Bound
That’s the great thing about this album; Signals might not be one of the “big name” albums in Rush’s catalogue like 2112, Moving Pictures, Fly By Night and Roll The Bones are, but that doesn’t matter; those who find it will know they’ve found something great.
