Enya’s glistening cascades of piano and synthesizers sound soothingly like a gently flowing waterfall. ... The combined effect is both captivating and elusive. 1991 - Light, airy, heavenly, of unearthly delicacy; Enya defines the word ethereal. And, if you think about it, Enya is the Anti-Nirvana; without her, hardcore would not exist. So, if you grow tired of thrash-metal hell, graze in the Elysian fields of Shepherd Moons, and weep.

2012 - She still does an excellent job this time around, but because of its striking resemblance to "Watermark", this album would've been perfect if Enya had changed her game a little more drastically.

2018 - As an album Shepherd Moons is euphoric, but in a spiritual way, like it’s helping you reach inner peace.
