After that they talked celebration -- 2004's greatest-hits set looked back on a decade of influence and intensity. And yet, it's 2005's See You on the Other Side that's Korn's real reinvention celebration.

For all the help that KORN got making this album, "See You On The Other Side" doesn't take any profound leaps or bring the group to any interesting new places.

Now that 'Head' is gone, all we really have left, is that dusty old cover of KoRn's debut to look back on for the good 'ole memories.

I give Korn credit for trying to take a new direction. Although I probably would have been happier if they had picked up where Take a Look in the Mirror left off, this is a decent effort for the band and may open some doors for them but on the other hand may alienate some older fans.

See You invigorates Korn’s downtuned wallop without losing its menacing essence, and drum-heavy tracks like “Twisted Transistor” muster the radio hooks the last few Korn discs lacked.

See You On The Other Side is the sound of a band forging ahead of its peers once again.

Sea of Tranquility
While Korn's days of million selling albums and sold out tours might be behind them, based on the results of See You On the Other Side, I think there's still plenty of life left in this influential band. Call them what you will, categorize them however you like to, but there's a lot of good off-the-wall metal on this CD. Give it a try, you might like what you hear.

I love this album so much that if it got stolen I would probably dismember the person that stole it.

Daring, interesting, and not appropriate for kids.

The Gauntlet
Essentially, there's not one filler track to be found on 'See You On The Other Side', those that enjoyed the band's first two albums will instantly connect with songs like 'Getting Off' 'For No One' and 'Hypocrites' and 'Seen It All' draws a direct lineage to the group's 'Issues' record.

Fans of their last two albums may appreciate what's on offer here; everyone else will find it about as appealing as eating their own earwax.
