2018 - a bloated and expensive version of the rap he’s always made but without that signature effortlessness

2018 - the upside to his ridiculously long recent effort is it’s stacked with a host of stellar tracks for virtually every leisure activity underneath a stoner’s sun

2018 - a pleasant surprise – a much better album than anticipated. There are plenty of songs worth revisiting.

2018 - there’s not nearly enough bops or enough insight to justify its feature-film-length runtime

2018 - Wiz Khalifa continues to show his lack of sense in Rolling Papers 2 as he relies on the wrong people and subjects to make a splash.

feels like an awkward mixtape (or two) without much to say and too stoned to realize it's been rambling

  • Culture Kings

2018 - The album is a simple one that doesn't attempt to be anything more than what it is, which is refreshing in this day and age of rap music. Wiz Khalifa has proven once again that he can make a good album, enough said.

2018 - You get passion from him, you get some of his best bars and some pretty explosive records. I think the album is good enough to be considered one of his best

  • The Fresh Committee

2018 - Albums such as Rolling Papers 2 are utterly superfluous. Who wants to hear Wiz rap the exact same way about the exact same topics for an hour and a half?

  • Ben's Beat

2018 - it’s quite the chore to get through at times despite the moments where he does what he does best and gives us these endearingly goofy and fun rap tracks, but Khalifa’s adherence to trends that don’t fit him here bring the project way down

  • No Gossip LA

There is a clear distinction between “old” Wiz and new Wiz Khakifa, and on Rolling Papers 2 Wiz was able to cater to both.

2018 - So, this album had to have something to it to make him worth the time. But it doesn’t. There’s nothing unique here.

2018 - what Khalifa brings is arguably his best studio album since Deal or No Deal almost a decade ago, and his first real opportunity to put the nagging cliche in the ashtray

  • Stereo Board

2018 - it all feels unconvincing and fails to establish a new direction for an artist who now appears to be talented but lacking in creative ambition
