Revolver (stylized as rEVOLVEr), is the fourth studio album by American rapper T-Pain, released through Konvict Muzik, RCA Records and his own label Nappy Boy Entertainment on December 6, 2011. It is his first album released after the dissolution of his previous label, Jive Records. Recording sessions for the album have taken place from 2009 to 2011. T-Pain stated that the two R's in the word, Revolve have been capitalized so that in the middle, it says "evolve", indicating that T-Pain has evolved as an artist, and as a person in the period from Thr33 Ringz up till Revolve . He later stated that the R's were put to show how people can be deceived, and precept incorrectly without looking at the inside of things, and he then said that this will be the scheme of the album. -Wikipedia

T-Pain’s charm lies in his sweet, heartfelt corniness.

The Auto-Tune king is best when others do the warbling.

T-Pain struggles to sound up to date, but the only way he achieves this is through a depressing obsession with brand consciousness.

T-Pain is its enthusiastic reanimator, repeatedly jamming the defibrillator pads into the chest of one of pop music’s most irritating presences.

T-Pain keeps the bottles popping, but his hooks have dried up.

EW
Feel as intimate as the work of any bedroom troubadour. Call it Cyborg Sings the Blues.
-
Pitchfork
Cashes in on the good graces he’s received in the interim, but also retreads vastly familiar territory that is more fun than illuminating.
-
Teen Ink
Overall, “Revolver” is bland, with a few fun songs to dance and sing to.

HIGHLY doubt even half of you listened to this whole thing

There is music for everyone on this album, but definitely still classic T-Pain at the same time.

You’ve got an album that’s either ridiculous or ridiculously fun depending on your point of view.

Pop Matters
Without many options for our Flavor of the Year figurehead than the one we'd probably already chosen... on to the next one.
-
Slacker
T-Pain's fourth effort is no great leap forward for the Auto-Tune King, and it’s entirely less conceptual than his previous effort.
