  • Hot New Hip Hop

An ambitious, if occasionally oversaturated sophomore effort.

It was a fun listen, giving us tons of emotion and different feels to it, so whatever mood you’re in or what kind of genre you like there is at least one song you would like on it.

Its unpredictable, has no filter, and at times challenges all of our definitions of what music actually is. i love the artistic approach, but cannot deny that the music suffers because of it at times.

I can state my case in as many words, trying to write rhetorical ellipses around my argument, but I can just as simply say it simply: please do not listen to this album.

The album kind of feels crudely pasted together and is far from as impressive as his debut studio album

The album sonically goes every which way—a double-edge sword that can make for a dizzying, disjointed listen at times.

The vast majority of these songs are way too short and void of any substance, just as I'm starting to get into a song it just ends.

Another example of X's ability to drop music that legitimately no other artist could make and I value that highly in this day and age.

His music is still a calming change of pace from the mundane, repetitive trap sound that has diluted the landscape of mainstream hip hop.

Lacks substance, and long lasting appeal, so honestly I don’t see myself coming back to this one in the near future.

A surprisingly unique album very obviously in-tune with the current zeitgeist, a testament to his self awareness and detailed observation of society and self.

An album full of pieces to XXX’s puzzle, focused pleasantly on emotional instrumentation and vocals. Luckily, there are enough standouts to the puzzle than failures.
