Pitchfork
The drill legend stays true to his core: tales of trauma and paranoia that feel like watching him argue with a therapist through a crack in the door.

Ratings Game Music
Personally, I appreciate his openness on PTSD, and musically, applaud him for understanding how to bridge the gap between old school and new school street rap.

Hit Up Ange
From the moment you press play on PTSD, you are gifted to instrumentals that are as riveting as it gets. Some feature old school vibes, while others sound like they would fit perfectly on The Irishman’s soundtrack.

Hip Hop Hopscotch
The second half of this album (final seven songs) is fine and probably would get a great score if he released just that - it's the first half that really drags this album down based off how boring and repetitive it is.

Chicago Music Guide
Unfortunately, PTSD makes it impossible to recover from some things. Trauma from the past can take new forms in the present and be the reason for an outburst, a reaction, or a compulsion. Still, it does not hold up as an excuse.

PTSD continues G Herbo's progression from the rawness of his earliest material into more refined production and a clearer view of his volatile life experiences.
