Critic Reviews
Show All-
RollingStone
new songs feel too conservative.
-
Pitchfork
All in all, half the EP is made up of completely new material that could've easily made the original Viva.
-
sputnik music
Prospekt's March is an inconsistent, but incredibly exciting half-hour of music.
-
HOT PRESS
A slight change of pace can be seen in this EP with a hip-hop icon cameo and some Eastern embellishments that may hint to new musical endeavors for Coldplay.
-
ALL MUSIC
offering a little bit more of the same spacy thing.
-
NME
a hefty bout of smoke and mirrors ultimately intended to add some mystery to the Coldplay campaign and re-ignite interest in ‘Viva La Vida…
-
ALTERNATIVE ADDICTION
This set is something that’s cool just not a necessity.
-
The Guardian
A mixed bag.
-
common sense media
Deep stuff, but no hidden messages to worry about.
-
AV/MUSIC
Prospekt's March actually stands as the sturdiest Coldplay collection since A Rush Of Blood To The Head.
-
TREBLE
I discovered an aura of positivism that shines throughout the lyrics and sound of Prospekt’s March.
-
The Quietus
we’re talking remix and a not very good one at that where Jay-Z pops up.
-
ENTERTAINMENT
the irony of 'Prospekt's March is that it's predominantly more interesting than its parent material.
-
The Reflective Inklings
good but not exactly spectacular.
