Critic Reviews
Show All-
Pitchfork
The two rappers show great chemistry on their collaborative mixtape, even if Future sounds like he’s dragging slightly.
-
Rolling Stone
Pluto X Baby Pluto is an attempt to fuse the two rappers’ aesthetics, with equal time apportioned to the sparkling, almost campy dance-pop synths of Eternal Atake production braintrust Working on Dying and the brooding trap beats supplied by Future staples like Zaytoven, DJ Esco, and D. Hill.

If you haven’t heard it already, I wouldn’t go out of my way to play the whole album. However, I would definitely check out the four songs listed above, especially “That’s It.”

Burbsent
It’s important to note that this project is in no way indicative of what either of these artists are capable of as individuals, but is more of an affirmation that not every duo is as flawless as they seem to be on the surface.

The Whit Online
Overall, “Pluto x Baby Pluto” is truly a legendary collaboration between two remarkably gifted rappers. Through its daring vocal performances, impeccable rap flows and iconic beats, it is sure to reach the top of the charts and receive the love and recognition it deserves.

Beats Per Minute
we are left with a big collection of tracks that is sure to please some undemanding fans, but just misses the mark as a great release.

What You Expect?
I really like this album, it’s not WATTBA caliber but on first listen I think it has a chance to be better than his young Thug collaborative project Super Slimey and I already think it’s better than his collaborative project with Juice WRLD titled WRLD On Drugs. We got 2 bodies of work from Future this year and 3 from Uzi, I can’t complain. And while this album adds on to the great year music has been having in 2020, I’m still ready for the year to end just like the rest of us.

afterglow
Pluto and Baby Pluto manage to hold the attention of the listener for 54 minutes, a feat that not many trap artists could achieve nowadays. For that, the duo deserves props, but they also did not reach their fullest potential, and should be held accountable for failing to do so.

Ratings Game Music
Pluto X Baby features daring vocal performances, unbelievable melodies, next-level beats, and impeccable rap flows. The album also features gangsta, sly, braggadocios, and pimpadocios lyrics. Though I think that Lil Uzi Vert is the star of the show (His edgy sound is way too appealing to pass up), I think Future does a great job of keeping his foot on the gas when it comes to hitting us with unadulterated/hood-certified/trap-authentic material. All in all, the duo complement each other well on this album.

The Spectrum
While Pluto x Baby Pluto may not carry much cultural impact, it sure is a fun ride to space and back.

Future And Lil Uzi Vert’s Low Stakes ‘Pluto X Baby Pluto’ Is Gratuitous Fun.
-
Commedia
Overall, “Pluto x Baby Pluto” is a very decent project with fun to be had more times than not. The duo proves that they can work together well, and apparently, another project is already on its way.

Black Boy Bulletin
Future & Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Pluto x Baby Pluto’ Is Utterly Forgettable.

HipHop Hopscotch
his project tends to be flat, bland trap music that doesn't stand out and is incredibly predictable a lot of the time. The melodies aren't interesting as well as the production and poor rapping for some songs - while others have good melodies even then the beats don't stand out.
