Out of the Wasteland is strong and deep, as so are the lyrics. It is a different direction than 2012’s Almería, and many fans will really dig what the guys came up with.

Lifehouse showed they were still a band to pay attention to with Almeria, but Out of the Wasteland is proving that it wasn't a fluke. Jason Wade and company have proven that they are refocused and are making high quality music.

‘Out of the Wasteland’ is not necessarily a regression for Lifehouse; but a rebirth.

‘Out Of The Wasteland’ isn’t without its merit, genuine talent and a level of variety in its song writing, but it’s that polished approachability that prevents it from making that step forward they could have made into more substantial and compelling territory.

This production decision is sure to please original Lifehouse listeners who were not as thrilled by the band’s most recent, pop oriented works. No matter the sound, it is clear that Lifehouse has remained true to their lyrical roots, generating another collection of relatable songs that will both excite existing fans and reach new ones far and wide.

I’m not gonna put them up there with the master wordsmiths of the world any time soon, but a few of these tracks make me feel an emotional outpouring that few Lifehouse songs have made me feel since the days of No Name Face. That’s enough for me to look past my biases and have a generally positive attitude towards this record overall, even if for the most part the band is still playing it way too safe.

Out of the Wasteland is no masterpiece but it's a record that highly executes the band's way of bringing out authentic tunes for a rainy day.

‘Out of the Wasteland’ is a strong release for Lifehouse musically, lyrically and vocally and if you like Maroon 5, Train or Crowded House then there’s a chance you may like this offering.

Like on Almeria, the group indulges in middle-aged introspection here, so Cole's expertly modulated production suits the sentiment, in addition to turning it into fine mood music.

Out of the Wasteland is that is soft and there are too many track with the same tempo. But overall it is a very solid album that once again shows why you should be considered as one of the greatest in the genre.

Out Of A Wasteland is a solid dependable album. It does not re-invent the wheel but what it does, it does well. If you are a fan of Lifehouse or bands like Creed of The Calling, you will probably find a lot to like here.

While the majority Out of the Wasteland doesn’t push the boundaries, I appreciate the aural diversity from song to song.

The band have a style of rock that I can only describe as Marmite. There are some who’ll draw comparisons to other rock heavyweights like Bon Jovi and others who’ll draw comparisons to someone like Nickelback. However one thing that can be agreed on is the hard work that the band have put into their sound.

If you’re already a fan, then you’ll love Wasteland. If you’re not a fan yet or never even heard of them, where have you been, this is a good one to start with and work backwards.

The album Out Of The Wasteland leave behind a mix of feelings. On the one hand the album has a number of nice songs, especially at the beginning of the album. But later on the album the power drops a bit and the band does not always catch it anymore.
