Punk News
it stands toe to toe with a lot of their earlier, stronger and classic material
-
Exclaim
While the band has undoubtedly been the soundtrack to many folks' skateboarding escapades, for myself the ultimate litmus test isn't whether it'd play while one ollies, but whether it'd play while one jumps on a trampoline, and in that regard Never Gonna Die is a success.
-
Punk Rock Theory
Fast, sturdy rhythms peppered with Fletcher’s trademark chunky riffs and then Jim’s characteristic vocals on top of it all. It’s a tried-and-true formula, but it still works.
-
Ghost Cult Magazine
There is nothing amazing and nothing truly awful it is just another solid album from Pennywise.
-
Renowned for Sound
The governments may suck, but Pennywise are channelling their disdain into something many people will be able to relate to on multiple levels. Whilst the genre isn’t the most accessible, the messages and the ideas certainly are. Twelve records in and Pennywise may have just released their most relevant project yet.
-
Crypti Rock
Pennywise offer up a myriad of reasons to put one foot forward and trudge onward, not the least of which is being able to rock out to this new collection. Motivated, inspired and ready to crowd-surf
-
Loud Magazine
This is the sound of a well established band that still has a fire in them and questions to be answered.
-
Running Wolf's Rant
Being a punk rock fan, this album brings all the nostalgic audio quality you would have heard right through the nineties and earlies naughties, along with a growth inspired only through experience. This is a fantastic punk rock album.
-
Kill Your Stereo
The message of ‘Never Gonna Die’ is for resistance, for activism, for passionate people’s belief’s, for justice, for hope, and for Pennywise’s own ethos and work ethic to do just that: live on for as long as possible, forever fighting the good fight.
-
Mr Hipster
I really enjoyed this album
-
Hi-Fi Way
PW has always been lyrically strong and Never Gonna Die is no different. Jim’s voice is strong, Fletcher’s riffs are tight and I don’t know how he does it, but Bryon’s drumming is off the chart, soooo fast!!
-
Wall of Sound
Fans will be satisfied, but the album is not going to win over many new fans.
-
This is not a Scene
it is awesome and welcomes back these stalwarts in some style
-
Games. Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life
The formula is pretty standard but credit to the band for still sounding powerful after nearly 30 years. Long-time fans will really enjoy Never Gonna Die even if it is unlikely to win them many new fans.

Amino
Nothing but great songs one after another love it
-
Hit the Floor
Their style is still what you’d expect– fast, hard, and unapologetic. It’s punk rock in its rawest form and yet the lyrics still manage to make the listener stop and think.
-
Stack
on Never Gonna Die, Pennywise sound more vital than they have in a long time
-
Xpress Magazine
a welcome addition to the Pennywise discography
-
Apathy & Exhaustion
This is hard hitting, anthemic skate punk as you want it to be.
-
Colin's Punk Rock World
Thankfully “Never Gonna Die” is not only an excellent addition to their back-catalogue I’d go out on a limb and say it’s possibly their finest release since 1999’s Straight Ahead.
-
AC Rock Reviews
Pennywise have produced one of the best albums of their career here and prove beyond any doubt that Punk is certainly ‘Never Gonna Die’.
-
Richard Neil
Never Gonna Die will feel extremely familiar and make another great addition to your collection
-
Bestest Hits
His voice sounds great, lyrics are politically charged as they have always been and the choruses are catchy like Pennywise is known for.
-
Radio Punk
The first album after Jim’s coming back highlights all the energy and power of the legendary band: we can’t wait to see them live again
-
Drop This
Most of the songs here are short, punchy and powerful from start to finish; with such high stakes, there’s no room for the dull or the pedestrian on this record.

-
The Mighty Decibel
Containing a mix of upbeat, drum propelled speedsters and radio-friendly singalongs, lyrically railing against society, there's no doubt that it will meet expectations.
-
Punk Vinyl Archive
a very slick aggressive sounding album and is there best effort in my opinion since 2003's 'From The Ashes
-
The Prelude Press
With their quintessential power to merge the subversive and the celebratory, Pennywise have built the album on fast-paced anthems expertly engineered to inspire radical change, personal empowerment, relentless hijinks, and reckless fast times.
-
Ever Black Media
All up, if you’re looking for something to inspire you to not only voice your opinion but also to get out on a surfboard or skate deck, then look no further. This album is definitely for you
-
All Things Loud
Pennywise are back on top of their game, and they’re not afraid to let the whole world know.
