    December 13, 2012. The Detroit native proves that great songwriting and enjoyable musical presentation transcends genres. While the style is entirely country, the subject matter fits Detroit as well as it fits Nashville. It does not feel forced or fake for the singer.

    January 28, 2013. He merges upbeat feel good songs such as You Got That Thang alongside slower songs such as When I Close My Eyes throughout the album, keeping the interest high. Midnight Special is definitely an album to check out in my opinion and would make a good addition to any music fan's collection.
