Meet the Beatles!
| The BeatlesMeet the Beatles!
Meet the Beatles! is a studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released as their second album in the United States. It was the group's first American album to be issued by Capitol Records, on 20 January 1964 in both mono and stereo formats. It topped the popular album chart on 15 February 1964 and remained at number one for eleven weeks before being replaced by The Beatles' Second Album. The cover featured Robert Freeman's iconic portrait of the Beatles used in the United Kingdom for With the Beatles, with a blue tint added to the original stark black-and-white photograph. -Wikipedia

Albumism
For good or bad, the Beatles, and this, their first major American LP, are the most important cultural testaments of their times. And as is fully warranted, this music will forever be dissected and cherished by rock fans all over the world.

Mill Heiser
In my opinion, Meet The Beatles! is a somewhat more “high octane” and “exciting” album for US audiences first meeting the band, whereas With The Beatles is a more assured and consistent presentation of the material to UK fans.

Ultimate Classic Rock
Meet the Beatles! was mostly lost to history when the band decided to put out only the U.K. albums on CD in 1987, but the record still has plenty of fans.

All Music
the emphasis on joyous, exuberant rock & roll means that Meet the Beatles! still sounds fresh and exciting on its own terms.
