It is hard to imagine a better way to spend a casual Saturday evening than by listening to TREMONTI with a cold glass of craft beer. Oh, boy – does this album kick some serious ass!

Some may argue that straddling the divide between modern rock and the more jagged fringes of old school metal can’t yield greatness; “Marching In Time” begs to differ

Barely a moment is wasted across the 12 songs on offer here, and the array of brilliant musical moves, both anthemic and heavy, across the hour or so you’ll spend in this album’s company are sure to both further delight existing fans and draw curious new listeners in within just a few listens.

As a whole, Marching In Time is by no means an easy listen. TREMONTI takes your thoughts and turns them on yourself in a place where you seek escapism. It is hollowing where we crave to feel something. At record’s end, when we feel the need to lie on the floor for a few moments, we come to realise this may be TREMONTI’s best work to date. This record is new yet quintessential TREMONTI.

Perhaps Tremonti’s best, ‘Marching In Time’ is ridiculously, off the charts sensational and most definitely, stratospherically recommended!

On ‘Marching in Time’, Tremonti mixes the private with the public. While there are some moments where the distinction between the experiential and the commentative blurs and risks generalisations, thankfully the record never becomes monochromatic. Due in no small measure to Tremonti delivering some of his most musically exciting compositions on record. When married to lyrics that truly personalise the experiences, offering insight to accompany the commentary, ‘Marching in Time’ can ignite with life in a big way.

Marching in Time, more than previous albums, demands to be listened to in full as it pulls in all directions but never falters. It may be softer on the ears to those not versed in metal but it hasn’t stopped them from pulling any punches.

From the opening drumbeat of “A World Apart” to the closing notes of the epic “Marching in Time,” Tremonti’s creative juices are flowing and it is virtually impossible to find any fault with this album.

  • Louder Sound

Tremonti's Marching In Time is both an assault on the senses and the sort of thing you’ll find yourself whistling in the shower.

  • Metal Master Kingdom

it feels like Tremonti is just taking riffs that he had laying around, and just plastered them into a song with hardly any thought. That doesn't take anything away from his incredible guitar playing and vocal abilities, but I just thought that the songwriting here was very economical, and pretty stale if you ask me.

I’m sure that most of the Tremonti following will be thrilled upon hearing this new album and I’m also confident that their following will grow exponentially when this album hit the shelves. To me, `Marching In Time’ is one of the best new albums that I’ve heard in a long time and, without a doubt, a strong contender to rank up high in many ‘Best albums of the Year Polls’.

I'd absolutely recommend listening to this album, especially if you're a first-time Tremonti listener! The thrash vibes are fun, and there are more emotive tracks on here if that floats your boat too. Let That Be Us has fantastic hard rock elements if that's more your thing. Overall, fantastic album and worth the listen, without a doubt!

Alter Bridge and existing Tremonti fans are sure to appreciate this and love it for what it is, and general hard rock fans will find plenty to enjoy here, but there’s only SO much you can march in time before time stands still.

Tremonti deserves great credit for the work that he has put in with his vocals and the end result is undoubtedly his strongest vocal work to date, on an album that delivers time-after-time.

However, if you are hunkering for Americana with a modern twist and a killer singer/songwriter/guitar player, this is most definitely the album for you. I, for one, will "now and forever" be grateful for every Tremonti album. And Marching In Time is definitely bringing it. So keep 'em coming Mark.

All in all, Marching In Time shows that TREMONTI, and, indeed, its lead foot soldier Tremonti have forged a route that’s completely alternate from their past while remaining comfortable and familiar with their overall path.
