LOVE?
| Jennifer LopezLOVE?
Love is the seventh studio album by American singer Jennifer Lopez. It was released on April 29, 2011 by Island Records. Produced during the pregnancy of her twins Emme and Max, Love was cited by Lopez as her most personal album to date, taking inspiration from the birth of her twins and her own experiences with love. Recording for the album began in 2009, with an original release date for the project set for January 2010 by Epic Records to coincide with Lopez's film The Back-up Plan. However following the lack of success with lead single "Louboutins", Lopez and Epic Records parted ways, leaving the fate of Love in uncertainty. In 2010, Lopez signed a new record deal with Island Records, allowing proceedings for the release to be kept. The album includes a mixture of previously recorded material which leaked online in 2009 and 2010 during recording sessions, along with new songs with Tricky Stewart, The-Dream and RedOne commissioned by Island Records, primarily a dance-pop[1] album, Love also marks a return to Lopez's pop/R&BrootS. - WIKIPEDIA
Critic Reviews
Show All-
Washington Post
“Love?” is a relentless carnival of warring noises and themes, but that’s not a bad thing.
-
SLANT
isn’t the all-out dance album it could—and should—have been.
-
BBC
Lopez possesses both a lightness of touch and the confidence of a natural diva.
-
Boston Globe
After all the processed cheese, though, you’re left wondering: What’s love got to do with it?
-
Entertainment
Despite the star power she emits on screen, her vocals have always been less than stellar; on LOVE? she often sounds limited and nasal.
-
AV/MUSIC
Love? is as vague and unfocused as its titular inquiry suggests, a musical shrug that seems to mean even less to Lopez than it will to listeners.
-
ALL MUSIC
It’s high-sheen wallpaper, so flimsy that it peels away immediately after application.
-
RollingStone
The reality of Jennifer Lopez is...blah.
-
Los Angeles Times
Coming from a star whose weekly "Idol" pronouncements emphasize the value of charisma, "Love?" definitely disappoints.
-
muumuse
In the end, LOVE? is a listenable.
-
NME
As this ultra-cynical record proves, cash is all that this girl thinks about.
-
popcrush
boasts an impressive roster of A-list songwriters and producers (such as RedOne and Lady Gaga), as well as guest performers.

embraces Euro-pop, with all the lyrical sophistication of the genre.

Love? is another sensational 16 track album by Jenny from the block.
