  • Sounds Like Nashville

In “Life and the Party” and “Lady Like,” the title track, her ability to twist common phrases which come pre-loaded with belittling definitions, into something empowering and all her own is as refreshing as it is admirable.

  • 5 Finger Review

Lady Like marks Andress’ Warner Music Nashville debut, and it is a beautiful start for an artist that has serious crossover appeal to both pop and country fans. The music, for the most part, is mellow, but Andress sings beautifully and will have you in her world in no time.

  • Lyric Magazine

She might be too clever for Country and too Country for pop if the next few years aren’t handled in the best way. For now, though, enjoy ‘Lady Like’. Enjoy the lyrics, the piano, the big drums and the wonderful, emotional storytelling – don’t worry about ‘what’ the album is, just sit back and enjoy it.

This record is a beautiful exercise in excellent songwriter while bringing along themes and sounds that I typically associate with Pop. The sounds and content seem perfectly comfortable playing in the dorm of a 20 year old college girl.

  • PopMatters

the disc feels like a set-up for a true classic when it's almost one itself. The solution, of course, is simple: play the album twice in a row and hope the follow-up album doesn't take too long to arrive.

  • Exclaim

Lady Like sonically diverges from the country-pop norm; Andress's lyrical honesty adds a sentimental perspective that invites you to listen to something out of the ordinary and makes you crave more.
