Several times on Kingfish, Ingram describes himself as an "old soul." But he really didn't have to – his astounding playing says as much, over and over again.

Rocks and Blues Muse
Ingram has been hailed as the future of the blues. He can shred like guitarists decades older, but it’s the emotion in his playing and singing that brings his music home. And Christone “Kingfish” Ingram hits a home run with his album, Kingfish.

The Rockpit
I’d go as far to say that he might just have produced the Blues album of the year.

Tahoe On Stage
Overall, I give this record 4 out 5 whiskey shots. Super solid all around. I look forward to catching a show sometime.

Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram's debut album displays the maturity and skill of a much more experienced musician.

LA Weekly
He definitely rocks hard on his debut album, Kingfish, but he also demonstrates his soulful, wiser-than-his-years presence on bluesy ballads like “Been Here Before.”

Blues Rock Review
Nothing strays too far from standard blues and blues rock fare, which, by sticking to the familiar, allows Ingram to execute everything perfectly. If his talent somehow plateaus right where it is right now, Ingram has an incredible career in front of him.

Sea Of Tranquility
Whether you like slow electric blues, acoustic delta blues, or sizzling blues rock, it's all here, rich with Kingfish's tasty guitar work and potent vocals.

Rock The Body Electric
The whole record is a solid arrival onto the scene but two stand out a bit higher than the rest. "Trouble" is an upbeat jaunt about being caught by another woman with a New Orleans rumba juiced blues to it, while "If You Love Me" takes warbling guitars and pumping lines and adds gorgeous harmonica to the blues cliched number, resulting in a fresh sounding jam.
