K.O.D. is a very ambitious project that is geared solely to Tech’s faithful audience. It is filled with many well-constructed contradictions where Tech N9ne is playing puppet master and pulling strings of controversy. Each listen deepens the complexity of the album.

This is the best rap album of the year so far, but is held back by a few bad songs and a couple bad beats. Definitely worth taking a look at though. Tech N9ne brings creativity and energy to this album, and he brings it hard.

This album isn’t horrible tho. There are some very high points. Just not as many as his later albums. There are a lot of very low lows too. It’s still not a bad album tho. It’s alright.

Many of the lyrical shocks on “K.O.D.” are similar to those of grindcore metal bands. But in that same vein, much of it is also genuinely creepy. Whatever it is, it’s wildly popular.
