INNUENDO

Innuendo is the fourteenth studio album by British rock band Queen, released on 5 February 1991 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom and it is the band's first studio album to be released by Hollywood Records in the United States. Produced by David Richards and the band, it was the band's last album to be released in vocalist Freddie Mercury s lifetime, and their most recent one to be composed of entirely new material.-Wikipedia

Well, what an album! I haven't heard an album of this quality in a long time.

A one-two-three punch is delivered come the rushing 'Headlong', a classic Queen rocker and suddenly 'Innuendo' seems to definitely be one of the better Queen albums, no question.

Miracle, Innuendo is a reinstatement of the grandiose Queen of old; instead of comparing the group unfavourably to their seventies triumphs it’s now a case of them creating new benchmarks.

There are also numerous genres represented on the album, such as gospel (“All God’s People”), hard rock (“The Hitman”, “Headlong”), and mellow instrumental (“Bijou”).

Especially since its closing track is such a blast, I don't have any problems giving this a solid 12/15. Even though Queen were effectively dead after this release, I feel compelled to say it: Long live Queen!

Innuendo may not be as engagingly dopey as you’d like it to be, but the band’s overall weirdness commands a certain kind of awe.

2016 - Innuendo is a superb piece worthy of its status as one of Queen’s finest. It features a fine variety of songs, spanning many sub-genres of rock from progressive to psychedelic to operatic.

2016 - Innuendo is the kind of album that a band (Metal or Innuendo is the kind of album that a band (Metal or Otherwise), should aspire to end on. ... There is a grim aura around this record, but the band has never been better.

I should maybe have made this review longer but it’s the music that talks here. I didn’t mention so many tracks and they all deserve it…

20015 - Overall, the album gives me mixed emotions when I listen to it. I think though it's the band's masterpiece, not discounting others like ANATO and such. Fantastic album.

1991 - The album is a homecoming of sorts for Queen, a return to the mid-’70s glory days of such tunes as the infamous “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
