Texas singer/rapper Iann Dior mines painful relationships, reckless living, and the dark side of fame on his studio debut Industry Plant. The album's title is a reference to fast-rising artists being called out as inauthentically prefabricated by labels and managers to cash in on lucrative trends in music.

In his most recent album released on November 8th, Iann Dior seemed to change his sound going from more basic rap to a mix of hip hop, contemporary R&B, pop, emo, and rap.

  • Album Of The Year

Iann Dior has a lot of potential. Even though this record is pretty bland, generic, and boring most of the time, the performances by Iann Dior are pretty well-done. The things that really bring this project down are all the sad e-boy type lyrics, the generic production, but most importantly, the pretentious vibe this record gives of because of all the subject-matter and the title of the album.

Iann NEVER drops a bad song and this super dope album is no exception! In his newest studio album titled "Industry Plant" we see a look at what's been going on in his life here recently. The young artist has skyrocketed into the limelight with his singles and this is the first actual project he's dropped since then and we're thoroughly impressed!

This album is obviously going to get him some more mainstream attention, but I hope going forward he does less rock-ish stuff and sticks to his melodic trap that he can usually pull off.

His unique flow, ability to transcend genres and write intimate lyrics make Iann Dior one of hip-hop’s hottest young stars. It doesn’t matter whether or not Iann is an “industry plant” — his music is unlike anyone else’s in the rap industry and its quality should be the center of discussion.

Iann Dior’s first album is more of a rap album and is what made him an artist. Industry Plant definitely has the rap element, but I think the album as a whole really classifies him as a singer. Overall I really love this album. I think it has so much variety, which just shows Iann’s talent.
