Taste of Country
How Country Feels,' an album that may not end up in one's Top 3 of 2013, but one that's sure to still sound good in a few years.

This is the perfect example of what an album should sound like. Hats off to Randy Houser!

ALL MUSIC
Houser has skills as a craftsman and record-maker so How Country Feels is enjoyable even when it winds up playing a bit like a Now This Is Country collection filled with songs that never hit the charts.

TopCountry
Taking the album title at face value, this is indeed a decent snapshot of how country feels in 2013.

My Kind of Country
It is good to see that artists with one eye on the charts are still able to include songs of substance on their albums.
-
Kickin Country
Randy lets it be known exactly How Country Feels on his best album yet.
-
Country Standard Time
"How Country Feels" has its share of breezy, lightweight songs meant for radio airplay that hit on all the themes that are popular at the moment, but there's plenty of meat as well.

Will it play on radio, which tends to favor the pop-rock country of people like Jason Aldean? Probably not, but that’s OK, at least for his fans, since it means he’s not likely to graduate to the overproduced, overpriced arena and amphitheater shows, and will continue to play gigs like last fall’s sold-out stint at Rootstown’s intimate Dusty Armadillo.

The reality is that with his emotive style and powerful vocals, Randy Houser has the potential to be a country superstar right up there with Blake Shelton or Brad Paisley.
