There are no hints of his personality, his musical taste, his daily life. Does he just wake up, go to the club, stand behind the DJ, drink too much, go home, and repeat it the next day? It’s disappointing, because it’s clear that while there might be more to Don Toliver than this, for now he seems comfortable existing in Travis Scott’s shadow.

The songs and ideas are more fleshed out and ultimately prove that Toliver has figured out his framework. He’s still finding his footing, but with Travis Scott as his mentor, there is still a lot to be excited for.

Oliver’s constant shifts inflow and production make this project easy to listen too, this project was easy to engage with and I will definitely be leaving it on repeat for months to come. Don Toliver is a superstar the whole world just doesn’t know yet.

Heaven Or Hell still remains a top-tier album and solidifies Toliver’s place in hip-hop for years to come. The project provides an impressively unique approach to hip-hop and trap music that ultimately paid off well for Toliver.

Heaven Or Hell is a body-of-work that is peculiar, but also a lot of fun to listen to. You can hear Travis Scott’s influence on the album quite a bit, but you can also hear how Don tried to find brand new ways to push hip-hop’s melodic world to measures we’ve never seen before.

Don Toliver spends pretty much all of Heaven or Hell in the shadow of Travis Scott's sound.

It has it’s redundant moments, but Don shows us that he’s a refreshing new voice/face to take on this psychedelic trap sound & we get a closer look into his personality as well.

Heaven or Hell is a decent album with not much filler, but leaves Don Toliver with lots of room to grow and expand his sound as a young artist.

"Heaven Or Hell" is proof Don Tolliver isn't a one trick pony. He's a multi-faceted talent and I believe he'll only continue to progress from here.

Although the project heavily draws on Travis Scott’s style, Don Toliver’s high vocals create a whole new sound whilst still paying homage to his mentor. It’s a great solo introduction into the industry.

  • The Rich Report

With Heaven or Hell I went in with the expectation of a Travis Scott-esque album since Toliver does incorporate a lot of the psychedelic tendencies that vocal inflictions that Scott has. After giving the project a listen, it is exactly that, but Toliver does just enough to give himself his own path in an enjoyable experience.

  • What You Expect?

Don Toliver seems to have some sort of potential here. The potential is hidden behind Travis Scott's crooning study guide. It’s an album that if you were to put it on around me I wouldn’t be mad at it, it’s amazing background music. You vibe to this, but when you break it down it doesn’t offer anything that Travis hasn’t already done.

Heaven or Hell was a really good debut for Don Toliver. He seems to be trending in the right direction with everything he does. It is invaluable to have a good group of people around you at this time in the music industry.

It was a very slow, melodic album, which I think was different from the other Cactus Jack artist’s music. I recommend this album to anybody wanting to get into Toliver’s music!
