Show All-
BBC
the rude guitar sleaze of Hands All Over, or the cocky glam-stomp in Stutter’s verses show a band who are really at their best when they play pop music like the sleazy rockers they clearly are. In Adam Levine’s mind, at least.
-
RollingStone
Levine and crew could be blue-eyed-soul godheads, the 21st-century Hall and Oates. But they need to loosen up first.
-
Los Angeles Times
Mutt Lange successfully pushes Maroon 5’s music to newly glossy heights.
-
NOW
It's an accomplished record for singer Adam Levine and his faceless group, even if the whole affair sometimes sounds clinical in its approach.
-
Boston Globe
Really this is lead singer Adam Levine's show.
-
Entertainment
Hands, competent and studio-sleek as it is, too often begs for a fresher muse.
-
SLANT
Hands All Over won't fulfill Levine's ambition to redefine Maroon 5's identity.
-
The Guardian
So jaunty funk-pop and blustery arena balladry remain the order of the day.
-
sputnik music
Maroon 5 delivers another solid collection of songs about love, lust, and heartbreak.
-
ALL MUSIC
stripping their rock to the bare minimum, giving every song, even the power ballads, an immaculate tight groove.
-

basically, strip away everything, get them to write better songs, and start from scratch.

-
uproxx
Maroon 5 doesn't reinvent the wheel here, but expands its musical arc just enough to make fans feel like they aren't buying a rehash of the first two albums.
-
Creative Loafing Tampa Bay
Hands All Over is filled with heavy basslines, propulsive beats and distorted guitars that create a groove-oriented rhythmic foundation.

Lange adjusts the bands musical maturity and it is obvious throughout the album.
-
The Recorder
to me it’s more of a slow love album that you can only listen to when you’re in that mood.
-
SCENE
It's a defeated return to the middle of the road after a brief, exciting fling with muscular Prince-style rock.
-

the groovy and soul-filled Stevie Wonder sound still remain.
-
Kim the Fan Girl
The few songs that are standouts out weigh the one’s that are not.

The album is solid.

POP from the block
Hands All Over may not be the best album of 2010, but it is definitely one of the easiest to listen to.

Maroon5 delivers a delicious fantastic pop-funk album perfect for listening to anywhere from in your car to in your bedroom.
