Pitchfork
Vol. 2 toys with common insecurities and ultimately resolves to own them.

Kel and Mel Reviews
This EP is imminently satisfying. You get the perspective of a young woman who is unafraid of sexuality and the expression of her own emotions, but who also doesn’t run away from the complications to her life that these things tend to bring, whether it’s heartache or just a misunderstanding.

Debate the Music
H.E.R. has yet to make an appearance but that hasn’t stopped the production. The content of Volume 1 was great and it continues on Volume 2.
-
Jet
To put it simply, she’s GOOD.
-
Black and Gifted
H.E.R lays her heart on every track, making it clear to her fans that those words sang through that mic are real and aren’t mentioned just for extra clout.
-
Everything's Magnificent
In short, it just sounds great and is a much more mature album since she’s started to build her brand. Easily a high recommendation.
-
Cult? Sure!
This project is modern R&B at it's finest - it's sexy, a little bit dark and just uplifting enough.
-
Jetlag
The vocalist tells the story of love and what it means to love a person with all of you.
-
When a ThinkBubble Bursts
I like how H.E.R. tells this story about the down sides of being in a relationship like finding help to accept losing someone that you love, gaining trust, and also moving on from things that are hard to let go.
-
Crown All Queens
H.E.R Vol 2 continues down that path, only getting better track after track.
