The album blends together easily, flipping from one song to the next without trying to do too much. Each song has their own theme, but fit into the overall vision of his album. . . . . Good Faith is his best work yet and what a way to cap off a decade . . . .

  • WE RAVE YOU

The genius thing about this album is how truly connected each and every song feels to each other. It’s clear that Madeon had an extremely clear vision in his head of what he wanted this new world to look and sound like, and executed it completely flawlessly.

  • SPECTRUM CULTURE

Good Faith is about as interesting as this kind of music gets. The one thing holding it back from being a truly great album is that the songs aren’t that strong. His hooks aren’t that memorable, and his songs are defined more by dynamic peaks and valleys than tight writing.

The album is described as a collection of Madeon's more mature works. He also hasn't forgotten the pop element in the songs contained in the album, but is now presented more gently in addition to getting a thicker personal intake.

But where Pop Culture was all about ripping up old ideas to create something fresh, his second album Good Faith is lacking in originality by comparison.

  • POPMATTERS

Good Faith marks a distinct evolution in the sound Madeon, where he is moving away from sheer pop exuberance for something more contemplative and emotionally resonant.

Moving beyond French house and EDM, the album is heavily influenced by R&B, hip-hop, and gospel. Preceded by three singles, including "All My Friends," Good Faith became Madeon's second full-length to reach number one on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

The wait is finally over, Madeon‘s sophomore album, Good Faith, is finally here and it was well worth the wait! . . . Good Faith showcases the production prowess and evolution of the French prodigy throughout taking listeners on quite the musical journey through sound keeping things consistently both melodic and boisterous.

  • 365 New Albums A Year

Sonically this album really soars, Madeon is able to blend some seriously slick production with some effervescent themes . . . . It's not like this album promises something it doesn't deliver, it's just that the promise it does give is not a promising one.

Madeon is here to stay, and proves it in good faith on his new album "Good Faith." The disc is, in part, a continuation of «Adventure», but raising it to the next level, building a pop disk, which moves between the mainstream and the subsoil, . . . .

Thank you, Madeon, for sharing this journey of an album with us. There are a few tracks in here that I will return to forever. A final parting thought: I really appreciate that every song on the LP has its own unique logo.

By the end of the listening journey, it becomes clear that the leaps Madeon has taken on the new album were all in Good Faith. He’s managed to craft a soaring sonic statement that is every bit as technically saavy as it is emotionally poignant and sonically groundbreaking.

. . . Good Faith feels largely washed out and directionless, consumed by swelling synths that give no clear hint of the direction Madeon intended on taking.
