Saving Country Music
Again, it’s not that Fun isn’t without it’s moments. “That’s What Cowboys” do is what you want from Garth Brooks. “Dive Bar” was one of the more country-sounding singles we’ve heard on radio in a while. But Garth Brooks is too much of a cheeseball, and too surrounded by yes men to be given the reins to produce his own stuff. Or what you get is a record like Fun.

Sounds Like Nashville
Now in his late 50s, Brooks still retains the power to deliver the goods and entertain at the same time. Fun belongs right up there with his best work, including No Fences and Ropin’ the Wind.

NY Country Music
After thirty years in music, Brooks holds the title of reigning champion on difficult topics while delivering grace, trust, faith, and honor.

Lyric Magazine
If you’re a huge Garth fan, you’ll end up buying this album to add to your collection. If you’re not and are curious about the man, go back to 90s Garth.

Fun is designed to please that audience, offering a cozy selection of arena rockers, power ballads, drinking tunes, and love songs, tracks that play equally well at the bar or the beach.
