From the Inside
| Alice CooperFrom the Inside
From the Inside is the eleventh studio album by Alice Cooper, released in 1978. It is a concept album about Cooper s stay in a New York sanitarium due to his alcoholism. Each of the characters in the songs were based on actual people Cooper met in the sanitarium. With this album, he saw the addition of three former members of the Elton John band: lyricist Bernie Taupin, guitarist Davey Johnstone and bassist Dee Murray. -Wikipedia

Horror News
A strong release and perfect example of a rock album concept creation.

Rolling Stone
1979 - From the Inside isn’t an obvious failure: the songs are full of good ideas, the lyrics often close to brilliant.
-
Mike Ladano
it’s a sedated and subdued form of rock and roll, mixing Disco production and David Foster’s soft rock tendencies

2017 - From the Inside was a memorable album that ranks among the best of Cooper’s solo career.

2012 - Alice Cooper at his most broken and brilliant

it's a fun album chock full of catchy melodies

at least its "musical" status definitely confirms that you'll be discovering something new here with every new listen
-
Rough Edge
It's Alice at his personal and most vulnerable best. An album that truly came from the heart.
-
Louder Sound
full of gleefully shlocky power ballads and overwrought pop metal zingers about evil nurses and thrill-killing inmates. It’s hardly as autobiographical as Alice claimed, but it’s still charming, and the songs are great.

Rarebird's Rock and Roll Rarity Reviews
it's hard to take the songs seriously when they sound like outtakes

Metal Excess
2018 - “How You Gonna See Me Now” and “The Quiet Room” are two of my favorite Alice songs and there’s another of other enjoyable tracks here. That makes From the Inside a minor classic in my eyes.
