This is the 21st century, so it's about how long Pope can hold the public's attention across multiple media. She can definitely sing and she's photogenic, so that should help, and this album won't hurt her, which is really the point, docuseries and all.

“Frame By Frame,” out today, is such generic, slick country pop that the label”s intent to cross her over to pop given half the chance is painfully obvious. It”s all more the shame because Pope has a strong voice. It”s not particularly distinctive and she tends to sound like Taylor Swift a bit too much, but it”s powerful and rich.

I find "Frame" to be quite an enjoyable album, chock full of head-bobbers and fun summer tracks. If there is one thing I have learned in regards to the mainstream, it's that you have to enjoy the music for what it is and not get wrapped up in labels.

Cassadee Pope does a beautiful job on her debut country project. Every song on here has its own identity. She showcases her powerful vocals and her superb storytelling ability. She emerges as the country equivalent to Grammy-nominated songstress Avril Lavigne.

This release is a testament to how far Cassadee has come and how far she is planning to go. It only excites us more to see what she has in store for us. So move over, Taylor Swift, there’s a new country pop princess here to take the throne and if Frame By Frame is any indication, she’s here to stay.

sometimes musicians need to engage in these drastic musical changes in order to keep people on their toes. Cassadee Pope definitely succeeded in that and this album is a successful breakout into her new genre.

Every song on Frame By Frame has the potential to be a radio single after breakout single "Wasting All These Tears" which is a grrl power anthem in the same vein of Miranda Lambert's string of strong-woman songs.

  • Hitting All The Right Notes

Securely a country-pop album, Frame By Frame is a strong debut from Cassadee that shows her songwriting talents (with her best co-writes being 11 and You Hear A Song in my opinion) and strong vocals.

Especially for a first-time genre shift, it’s undeniable that “Frame By Frame” does both the genre as well as the artist behind the work enough justice to warrant many future releases.

Cassadee’s full length album has literally made me a fan of her, if I wasn’t one before. She has proved herself to the country music fans with her great tone. Her album is one of the best of the year in country music and I have no doubt it will succeed.
