Critic Reviews
Show All-
Pitchfork
The Danish electro-pop chart-topper’s second album is dedicated to the quest for eternal youth; too often, though, her overbearing club songs merely kick against the onset of adulthood.
-
NME
This intriguingly offbeat artist is best known for her Major Lazer collabs, but this bold album proves she's much more than someone to lean on.
-
Consequence of Sound
A new collection of bright, hummable tunes best enjoyed in moderation.
-
The Guardian
It’s certainly too damp a squib to break Mø out of her strange forever hinterland of almost-there.
-
Music OMH
With hits like these, songwriting as accomplished as this and production as tight as this, it surely matters little either way.
-
The 405
MØ delivers a masterclass in modern pop with the enigmatic Forever Neverland.
-
The Line of Best Fit
In some ways, this album feels less like a follow up and more like a rebirth. MØ has grown into her own – even if she doesn’t feel like she’s done much growing up.
-
Idolator
As far as electro-pop albums go, they don’t get much better than Forever Neverland.
-
Independent
MØ could have probably kept releasing big, untethered electro-pop singles without breathing a word of an accompanying album, and few would have had cause to complain.
-
Clash Magazine
The album remains fascinating, never misses a beat and keeps you listening through to the end.
-
Northern Transmissions
While this follow-up is by that nature much closer to her recent singles than her indie crafts from the past, it’s raw emotion and generally unique hits.
-
DIY Mag
She’s never looked more comfortable in her own skin.
-
The Skinny
Scandi electro-pop has never looked so good; MØ returns with her second full length album Forever Neverland four years after her debut.
-
The Minnesota Daily
MØ’s sophomore album is a fun listen, but only when her vocals sound authentically her.
-
Cult MTL
Despite decent guest appearances by Diplo and Charli XCX, this is an artist who doesn’t depend on such support, having developed a strong signature sound with husky, world-weary vocals at the forefront.
-
The Ithacan
MØ stands tall with other talented pop artists, and in “Forever Neverland,” she has proven that reputation is well-deserved.
-
Young Post
‘Forever Neverland’ shows more MØ can only be a good thing.
-
All Music
Forever Neverland contains enough catchy moments to warrant a listen, but mostly remains fodder for de rigueur 2010s alt-pop playlists.
-
NPR Music
MØ Finds Her Voice On 'Forever Neverland'.
-
Livewire1350
After an album that experiments with mood, genre and captures so well what it feels like to be young I am certain that no one can take this success away from her.
-
CelebMix
MØ’s ‘Forever Neverland’ isn’t your standard sophomore album.
-
LONDON IN STEREO
Strangely emotional and delightfully offbeat.
-
Diandra Reviews It All
MØ’s Forever Neverland has me stretching, but also surprises me with it nuggets of wisdom on to be okay moving on from one good thing to get your next, better one.
-
WRBB Radio
When MØ tries out new styles, she shows a glimmer of hope that she could be more than just a top 40 collaborator.
-
The Courier Online
Forever Neverland has some pulsing and tremendously beautiful moments; unquestionably worth a listen whether you’re familiar with MØ’s work or not.
-
The Student Playlist
MØ once again proves that she’s fully capable of creating exciting music of her own, beyond collaborations with famous DJs and producers.
-
Thomas Bleach
Within a couple of listens this album will grow on you with it’s honest songwriting, vulnerable vocals and banger choruses. After such a long wait I did expect something a little different or ground breaking though.
-
The Financial Times
Themes of infatuation and hedonism predominate as Danish singer moves from indie margins to pop mainstream.
-
The Arts Desk
The quirky Dane's new LP contains moments of loveliness.
-
Mystic Sons
Danish popster goes for the crown on second full-length.
-
Ben's Beat
Forever Neverland is a much more enjoyable collection of tracks than most in her genre.
-
The Gryphon
MØ Creates Lush Worlds of Beauty in New Album, Forever Neverland.
-
God Is In The T.V.
With all the fame and success MØ has more tools now to be who she wants to be. It’s a shame that she has lost a lot of her previous character but admittedly, we all know that musicians can dramatically evolve and change, lest everything else does.
-
Dork
Wherever Neverland is, may she stay there forever.
-
On Mogul
MØ Delivers Hooks but Little Else on Forever Neverland.
-
Standard
The slight rasp of her singing voice adds to the perception that she isn’t aiming for chart-topping perfection but attempting something more interesting, and better.
-
Anygator
Unfortunately, the entirety of MØ's existing back catalogue is a better proposition than her second LP ‘Forever Neverland’, which has been in the works for several years.
-
The World News
It hardly seems relevant, though, to ask whether Forever Neverland was worth the wait.
-
Stereoboard
Hopefully, this difficult second album will give some insight into herself and inform a better outlook on her next album.
-
MODA Chicago
At its best, Forever Neverland is some of 2018’s best electro-pop, and at its worst, it’s frankly exhausting. While the good far out-weighs the bad, you can’t hope but wonder what a less saturated version of this album could have been.
-
Queens Radio
MØ is here for us, and if you match the energy then you’re in for a thriller.
-
Mini Music Critic
Between her unique voice, her thoughtful lyrics and the exceptional production, 'Forever Neverland' assures you're not going to mistake MØ for any other pop artist out there.
