There are bruising riffs, melodic interludes, soaring vocals, barking growls, and some effortlessly epic, creamy guitar solos on this new FFDP masterpiece.

F8 sound like a bunch of talented hired guns who decided to make a blueprint metal record. The end result is average and cliché.

It’s not even like the final results are bad, but the blandness and frankly aggressive mediocrity on display is probably more palpable than ever here.

It lacks the heaviness and the inspired riffs that the Americans had us used to. However, the catchy choruses as well as the dynamites “Bottom Of The Top” and “This Is War” make the album worth listening to.
