Critic Reviews
Show All-
Sputnik Music
T-Pain is starting to establish himself as a lasting source of entertainment in the vein of R. Kelly...
-
Hip Hop DX
Had T-Pain delivered something more cohesive, perhaps he would stand out more in the R&B crowd
-
Exclaim
If thats not enough of a turn-off, on every song he runs his voice through a vocoder, which gives it the same annoying, high-pitched synthesiser whine as Akons.
-
Pop Matters
T-Pain does seem posed for more success than those other guys. He may even be worth the verbiage, too.
-
All Music
T-Pain is still more misguided than mediocre, which keeps Epiphany from being a failure.
-
Nappy Afro
This album may top charts and move major units, it’s not that good of an album.
-
Slate
In the end, T-Pain's robo-shtick may be little more than a lark. It's a good lark, though.
-
Blues and Soul
Continuing to walk the path of good tunes.
-
Slacker
T-Pain's Epiphany wears the tag line "more mature album" proudly, which it is, sort of, half of the time.
-
DJ Booth
T-Pain’s best cuts evoke the dripping grooves of Zapp, the breakneck beats of Baltimore club music, even the punk-funk of Fishbone.
-
Common Sense
Despite some stylish, infectious arrangements and clever poetry, the sexism implied.
-
Antimusic
Is it worth a listen? Sure; it'll make the commute to work a little more bearable.
