Emotion

Emotion is the sixth studio album from Martina McBride released by RCA Records in 1999. The song "I Love You" became McBride's biggest hit single to date after it reached #1 on the country charts and peaked at #24 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album ends with two covers, "Goodbye" by Patty Griffin and Gretchen Peters' "This Uncivil War" from Peters' 1996 debut album The Secret of Life. In the U.S. the album was certified Gold on 10/20/1999 and Platinum on 9/15/2000 by the R.I.A.A.-Wikipedia

    Emotion scales back musically using a very small band and the result is fresh and authentic, allowing McBride to captivate us with her resounding vocals.

    Emotion is a very mixed bag; an album that feels like it was designed for soccer mom types who prefer their music light, airy, and void of substance.
