  • Pitchfork

Lil Baby and Gunna are one of the best new rap duos and their latest project develops a chemistry and brotherhood few others can lay claim to.

  • Rolling Stone

These two agile, melodic-minded MCs already have close to an album’s worth of songs together spread across various mixtapes; they’re on the radio right now, rapping next to their booster — and stylistic forebear — Young Thug on “Chanel (Go Get It).”

The red-hot Georgia duo deliver on their first full-length collaboration together.

Two of Hip Hop’s fastest rising stars Lil Baby and Gunna linkup to release ‘ Drip Harder’, using their sonic chemistry to create one of the more bragadocious albums of 2018.

Lil Baby and Gunna had already arrived. But with Drip Season, it feels like both of them have arrived.

'Drip Harder' is the 'Bad Boys' of 2018, with Lil Baby and Gunna operating on pure charisma and style like trap's answer to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

  • Highsnobiety

The dark beats match the similarly bleak lyricism; the dynamic duo sound enigmatic about their success, appearing distant and disappointed.

There are times where songs on this album sound too similar to totally stand out and at the end of the day there are only a small handful of tracks that actually have enough legs to run into the annals of Hip Hop history.

Don’t get me wrong, there were some bangers on here, but for the most part, the music was simply alright to me.

This is a good effort from these two but could've been tighter.

Drip Harder is a thoroughly enjoyable tape, and in no way, shape or form, a disappointment.

Drip Harder is the irreverent, indulgent offspring of Quality Control and Young Stoner Life’s phenoms. The two main contributors are more comfortable playing with melody than lyrical concepts.

Gunna and Lil Baby are most definitely Atlanta’s newest rappers on the rise, so be sure to not overlook this musical treasure.

Drip Harder will do little to engender your affection. It’s not designed to draw new listeners, it was conceived by fans and expertly executed on their behalf — yet there’s nothing here that would turn off a new fan either.

Overall the album was very disappointing. Listeners can enjoy Gunna and Lil Baby’s independent work, but thought they would deliver a much more solid product.

While I can’t deny their success in gaining steam in the industry, these are two artists I’ve never been impressed by.

  • The Towerlight

With cookie-cutter production and such throwaway struggle lines like “we gon’ stick together like assigned seats” and “I got sauce like spaghetti,” this album manages to go above and beyond the call of duty of mediocrity.

Gunna and Lil Baby are both young and have a lot of room to improve, and I’m sure fans are hoping for a follow up album in 2019. Before that can happen, though, they’ll need to find a way to create different types of flow.

Sergio Giavanni Kitchens (Gunna) & Dominique Jones (Lil Baby) released this fire last week! The beats are a bit predictable but in a good way.

This album was very underwhelming. Hopefully, if the rappers collaborate again, they will create some better bangers.

The final product could have benefitted from stronger ideas and switches in cadences from both artists, making it a much more cohesive experience rather than having most tracks sound the same.
