Dos

‘Dos’ is, unsurprisingly, the second album by New Haven based Southern rock stoner trio, Pinto Graham. Formed in 2013 and seasoned by playing years of gigs in any venue that will have them, this is the follow up to 2017’s ‘Uno’. -The Midland Rocks

In general, Dos is a fun album. It’s groovy and quickly catches on, which makes it suitable to put on as background music at a party.

Dos is one of those occasions where we just don’t get enough. Six tracks seems far too short and while each one does deliver a memorable experience, we’re left wanting more.

If Uno was a Sunday cruise in a classic Cadillac, Dos flies ninety miles per hour on a Harley down the double yellow line.

“Dos” has got me with its sharp long and skilled guitar solos that embelish all songs in it. I confess that I got in love with “Dos” because of them and, of course, because of its genuine heavyness and hard rocking. Pinto Graham are a genuine band that play with heart and passion.

PINTO GRAHAM has managed to put out an excellent with their second release "Dos." It is very cool to see band carry on the flag of 70's southern rock into today and the future and adding their own flare to it without disturbing the foundation that it was built from. I personally loved listening to this release and think if you love southern rock with a splash of alternative mingled delicately into it, you will love this release. 10/10

For those seeking a bottom line, it’s that’s Pinto Graham are more than a clever name, and for anyone who perhaps missed the first album, Dos offers a brief opportunity to get caught up before they pass by on the way to the next one. I’d advise taking advantage.

Boom It’s done and dusted. Gone. And very good fun. It’s Southern, it’s heavy (I may have mentioned this), it’s well written and played and never outstays it’s welcome. Roll on ‘Tres’.
